next project version 1

I've had some problems with the inner patterned section not joining with the rest but I think I've got it figured out. I'm actually quite excited about this project, I've never done anything like this before

This project was actually kinda challenging for me, but in the end it was pretty fun to make. This is definitely something that I can bring into future projects.

I bought all my materials for this project, I don't have much to update on at the moment so here's a render of my lamp. For now here's a sliced doughnut I was playing around with.  :)

I've been playing around with this stacked lamp design, I really like the way it looks. The core is a white cylindrical lamp I bought, it will be made up of alternating stacks of acrylic and wood layers that will form a helix like structure with a laser engraved top cap to cover the original lamp.

This was pretty fun to work on if a little frustrating. I had to go back and review the notes I took in class to remind myself how to use the remap numbers command.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9SyrUV7sJ8Q&list=LL&index=5&ab_channel=KumaFilms I was inspired by this video for this project, specifically at 35 second mark.

This was interesting to work on, grasshopper kinda makes sense. I understand the workflow but I'm a little lost on the more intricate details. Overall grasshopper is interesting to use if a little scary soletimes. My project did end up crashing so I lost a couple hours of work because I forgot to save.
